Andrew Cohen has resigned as Gżira United’s head coach after the team failed to secure a Top 6 spot in the 360Sports Malta Premier Opening Round.
Cohen joined the Maroons as a player in January 2017 and later became assistant coach. He took over as head coach in January following Darren Abdilla’s departure.
In a crucial match against Ħamrun Spartans last Thursday, Gzira were close to clinching a Top 6 finish, however, two late goals gave the Spartans a 2-1 victory, dashing Gzira’s hope.
