The 360Sports Malta Premier League is set to make history as Match Day 27 will be hosted entirely in Gozo for the first time. This landmark event, known as the Gozo Weekender, promises an exciting blend of top-tier football and a unique sporting experience for both Gozitan and Maltese fans.
Bringing Premier League Action to Gozo
Speaking at the official announcement, Kampjonat Malta Limited Chairman, Mr. Alan Abela, expressed his delight at the opportunity to stage MPL matches in Gozo. He highlighted that this initiative will provide financial support to clubs while also boosting Gozo’s economy and domestic tourism.
The matches will take place from Friday, March 28, to Monday, March 31 (Public Holiday) at the Gozo Stadium in Xewkija, just as the league phase of the closing round reaches its decisive stage. With the Top 6 and Bottom 6 splits on the horizon, these games are expected to be fiercely contested.

- Saturday, March 29 – 2:00pm: Floriana vs Hibernians

Mr. Abela encouraged fans to take advantage of club-organized weekend packages, allowing them to combine football with a getaway in Gozo.
