Four teams lead the way in the 360Sports Malta Premier as Hibernians and Sliema Wanderers shared the spoils in a goalless draw in the big match from match day 3 at the National Stadium on Thursday.
Both Hibs and Sliema were coming off back-to-back wins, and this draw puts them on level points with Hamrun Spartans and Birkirkara, who are on seven points.
Hibs coach Branko Nisevic named an unchanged side after the win over Gzira. Conversely, the Wanderers had two changes as Jean Borg and Samuel Gomes were preferred to Serginho and Vito Plut.
Three minutes from the end of the first half, Hibernians had an excellent chance to take the lead when Alex Bruno from the left had a shot blocked by the goalkeeper onto the bar and off the rebound, Giannis Bastianos hit high.
The Paolites went close with attempts by Bjorn Kristensen and Khevin Fraga and Sliema replied with a fine attempt by Simon Zibo which was turned into a corner by Sacco.
