Just as in January, a left wing-back has claimed the Fastex Best Goal award for the month of February — this time, it’s Hibernians’ Apostolos Ilias Martinis.
The Greek defender made an immediate impression upon joining the Maltese Premier League side in January, becoming a key figure in Hibernians’ late-season push for success. His exceptional goal in February, which showcased both skill and precision, earned him this month’s top honour.
Martinis’ contribution went beyond highlight-reel moments. His presence helped spark a resurgence in form for Hibernians as they mounted a strong finish to the campaign. Although his time in Malta was brief, spanning just five months, his impact was deeply felt both on and off the pitch.
Following the end of the season, Martinis has since returned to Greece. The Fastex Best Goal trophy serves as a small tribute to his dedication and memorable performances during his time on the island.

Meanwhile, Mosta’s Clayton Failla was the recipient of the Fastex Best Goal award for January. His spectacular match-winning free kick in the 1-0 victory over Gżira United was not only a vital moment for his team but has also earned a place among the finalists for the prestigious Goal of the Season award.
