The FIFA Fan Festival™ became one of the biggest success stories of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, bringing the tournament experience beyond stadiums and creating record-breaking celebrations across Canada, Mexico and the United States.
More than 9 million fans attended FIFA Fan Festival events across 13 Host Cities during the 39-day tournament, making it the most attended edition of the programme since it was introduced at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.

The festival reached its peak during the World Cup final on 19 July, when more than 263,000 supporters gathered across eight remaining locations to watch Spain defeat Argentina and celebrate the conclusion of the tournament together.
The biggest single-day attendance came on 27 June, when 543,020 fans visited FIFA Fan Festival venues during the final round of group-stage matches. Mexico City recorded the highest overall attendance, welcoming more than 2.57 million visitors throughout its 36 days of operation.
While around seven million supporters attended matches inside stadiums, the FIFA Fan Festival allowed millions more to experience the atmosphere of the World Cup through live screenings, entertainment, culture and community events.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised the success of the programme, highlighting its role in bringing fans together beyond the stadium environment.
“Once again, the FIFA Fan Festival showed the extraordinary power of football to unite and inspire fans from all over the world,” Infantino said. “The response from supporters shows that we achieved our ambition of creating the biggest and most inclusive edition yet.”
