Malta has been placed in Group G for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers following today’s UEFA Preliminary Draw held at the Home of FIFA in Zurich. Group G includes the defeated team of QF1, either Spain or Netherlands, Poland, Finland, Lithuania, and Malta.
The UEFA Preliminary Draw has set the stage for Europe’s 54 hopefuls in their quest to secure one of the 16 places allocated to UEFA teams for the historic 48-team World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the USA in 2026.
