Paris Saint-Germain delivered a commanding performance to dismantle Real Madrid 4–0 in the Club World Cup semi-final, booking their place in Sunday’s final against Chelsea.
From the outset, PSG dominated proceedings. Thibaut Courtois managed to make two important early stops, but individual errors from Raúl Asencio and Antonio Rüdiger proved costly. These led to quick goals from Fabián Ruiz and Ousmane Dembélé, giving the French champions a 2–0 lead within the opening 10 minutes.

Real Madrid struggled to cope with PSG’s relentless pressure. Before the first half-hour mark, Ruiz scored his second of the night to make it 3–0, effectively sealing the contest.
With a comfortable lead, PSG took full control of the second half. Luis Enrique opted to rotate his squad, resting key players ahead of the final while maintaining firm control of the match.
Madrid coach Xabi Alonso also looked ahead, introducing veteran Luka Modrić for what is expected to be his farewell appearance for the club. Dani Carvajal returned to action as well, featuring for the first time since sustaining an injury on October 25, 2024.
Bradley Barcola capped off the win with a precise assist to Gonçalo Ramos, who netted PSG’s fourth goal in the 87th minute. It was a statement performance from Enrique’s side, reaffirming their status as the leading force in world football heading into the final.
