Notts County Secures Loan Signing of Jodi Felice Jones

Jodi Felice Jones will continue the second part of the 2022/2023 season at Notts County after agreeing a loan move until the end of the campaign.

Jones, 25, has struggled to breakthrough into Oxford United’s starting formation and will be hoping to have more playing minutes at Notts County, in the National League.

Notts County are currently second in the National League, on 62 points as they trail leaders Wrexham by three.

They are pushing for a return to the Football League and they are hoping that Jones can add more offensive prowess to their current squad.

“Jodi’s a player I’ve faced when working in the Championship and League One,” coach Luke Williams told Notts County’s official website.

“He’s a boy with huge talent and I believe it’s only injury which has stopped him from becoming a very successful Championship player, at least.

“Jodi can play inside the pitch or wide. He’s comfortable going at people, which I experienced at Swindon when he played wide right and destroyed us that night.

“He has the ability to change direction and beat players, and he’s always threatening to provide an assist or score.

“Not only that, but we’re bringing in a guy who’s ambitious to play games because of how much unfortunate disruption he’s had in his career.

“He was really keen to come here because he’s seen how the guys have been playing, and he wants to be involved in us trying to win the league.”

Jones has four international caps having made his debut in the away fixture against Estonia, in last September’s UEFA Nations League game.

He featured in three friendly matches as well – against Israel, Greece and the Republic of Ireland.

Oxford United Midfielder Joins National League Contenders for the Remainder of the Season

Notts County Football Club has secured the loan signing of Jodi Felice Jones from Oxford United until the end of the 2022/2023 season. Jones, a 25-year-old midfielder, has struggled to secure a regular starting place at Oxford United and will be looking to gain more playing time at Notts County, who are currently second in the National League with 62 points, just three behind leaders Wrexham.

Notts County coach Luke Williams was excited to welcome Jones to the team, saying, “He’s a boy with huge talent and I believe it’s only injury which has stopped him from becoming a very successful Championship player, at least.” Jones, who has four international caps, made his debut for the national team in September’s UEFA Nations League game against Estonia.

He will wear the number 10 shirt for Notts County and will be eligible for selection when they host FC Halifax Town on Saturday.

With Notts County pushing for promotion back to the Football League, Jones will be looking to make an impact and help lead the team to the top of the league. Jones brings a wealth of experience and talent to the club, having played in the Championship and League One, and has the ability to play both inside and wide on the pitch.

He is known for his ability to beat players, create scoring opportunities and provide assists, making him a valuable addition to the team’s offensive prowess.

Jones is also highly motivated to play, having experienced several setbacks in his career due to injuries. He is eager to be a part of the team’s push for the top of the league, and Notts County is excited to have him on board.

This loan move is a great opportunity for Jones to showcase his abilities and help Notts County in their quest for promotion. Fans can catch Jones and the rest of the team in action on Saturday when they host FC Halifax Town at Meadow Lane, and throughout.
