Lawrence Stroll Proudly Talks About Aston Martin's F1 Investments

Stroll, owner of Aston Martin and the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One team, is boasting about the success of his investments in Formula 1.

Stroll, a Canadian billionaire who purchased the team in 2018 and acquired the Aston Martin carmaker in 2020, takes pride in the team’s performance and the impact it has had on the company.

According to Stroll, Aston Martin’s improved performance in Formula 1 has translated directly into financial gains. Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine, acknowledged Aston Martin’s progress and credited their willingness to take risks for their success. Stroll sees the investment in the team and the carmaker as a significant achievement, claiming that his contributions are “staggering” when considering the overall investment in both companies.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Stroll expressed his satisfaction with the impact of Aston Martin’s Formula 1 success on road car sales. He highlighted the phenomenon of “race on Sunday, sell on Monday,” indicating that Aston Martin’s performance on the track has a positive effect on their road car sales. Stroll also mentioned that the Aston Martin Vantage F1, which serves as one of F1’s Safety Cars, has contributed to the company’s revenue by selling approximately 400 units this year. Despite being a relatively small number in terms of sales volume, it represents a significant source of revenue for a company of Aston Martin’s size.

Stroll’s pride in his investments stems from not only the financial gains but also the preservation of jobs. He believes his actions have saved “thousands of jobs” and has injected “hundreds of millions” into Formula 1. With Aston Martin emerging as one of Red Bull’s main competitors in 2023, Stroll’s confidence in the team’s success remains high, further fueling the positive impact on the brand and its future prospects.
