Jude Bellingham underwent a medical in Madrid, after which Real publicly promoted their first signing.
“Hello Madridistas. Thank you to everyone who is here on the most important day of my life. On prom day in the biggest club in the world. Thanks to Huna Calafat, Jose ngel, the president (Florentino Pérez, ed. ), and everyone who brought me here. Thanks also to my family.
Finally, Halla Madrid,” said Bellingham.
Bellingham arrived at Real from Borussia Dortmund, and Real paid 103 million euros for the England representative.
“The price doesn’t worry me at all; I don’t even know how much it is. I’m a football player; I’m neither a lawyer nor an accountant,” said the 19-year-old.
He signed a contract with Real until 2029 and represents the beginning of a new era in Madrid in which the support will be on young forces.
“It is a pleasure to meet you all. Madrid is the best club in history. I’m grateful to the people who brought me here,” Bellingham repeated.
All the English giants were interested in him, but he still chose Real.
“Money is not important to me; I never thought about money when I made these decisions. Soccer is my sport. I like the feeling Real gives you”, said the midfielder.
He will wear the number five on the jersey, made famous by Zinedine Zidane.
“Thanks to Vallejo for giving me number 5. I asked him if it was important to him; he’s a great guy. I admire Zidane a lot, and his number inspires me. I don’t want to be like him because I’m different. It is an honor to wear this number. The jersey itself is a big responsibility. I always had a lot of respect for Zidane, and he was the best player for me. I want to extend the legacy of this number,” Bellingham concluded.
