VfB Stuttgart secured their fourth German Cup title with a 4-2 win over third-tier Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday, capping off a memorable run with a dominant display in the final.
Stuttgart struck early, with Nick Woltemade opening the scoring in the 15th minute, beating Bielefeld goalkeeper Jonas Kersken with a precise low shot from the edge of the area. Just seven minutes later, Enzo Millot doubled the lead, finishing off a swift counter-attack. The Bundesliga side continued their relentless pressure as Deniz Undav added a third in the 28th minute to put Stuttgart firmly in control.
Millot completed his brace in the 66th minute, seemingly sealing the win with Stuttgart’s fourth goal. However, Bielefeld mounted a late response. Substitute Julian Kania pulled one back in the 82nd minute, and a Josha Vagnoman own goal three minutes later made it 4-2, adding a touch of drama to the final minutes.
Despite the late scare, Stuttgart held firm to lift the trophy. The victory not only added another piece of silverware to their collection but also secured them a place in the Europa League’s league phase for next season. Stuttgart ended their Bundesliga campaign in ninth place, narrowly missing out on European qualification through league standings—making the cup triumph all the more vital.
