Luke Littler has made history by becoming the youngest ever World Darts Champion with a 7-3 win over Michael van Gerwen in the final at Alexandra Palace. The 17-year-old, who has been rising fast in the darts world, claimed his first World Championship title in just his second attempt.
Littler’s victory saw him break the previous record held by Van Gerwen, who was 24 when he won his first World Championship. The young star dominated the match, quickly establishing a 4-0 lead before Van Gerwen managed to respond. Littler’s brilliant finishing, including hitting a 124 on the bullseye, helped him clinch the title.

After the match, Van Gerwen praised Littler for his performance, acknowledging that the teenager had played excellently. Despite his loss, Van Gerwen remained gracious and said that Littler was a “star” in the making.
Littler’s win was also celebrated by the crowd, who cheered him on throughout the final. The young champion’s triumph adds to his remarkable rise in the darts world.
