The overall standings at the Tour de France remained unchanged after the race’s fastest-ever stage, as the peloton crossed the flat roads of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in another day dominated by the sprinters.
Norwegian rider Søren Wærenskjold (Uno-X Mobility) claimed victory in the fourth bunch sprint of this year’s race, producing a surprise finish to edge Olav Kooij (Decathlon CMA CGM) and Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Premier Tech).
While the stage winner was decided in a mass sprint, there were no changes in the general classification.
Four-time Tour champion Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) retained the yellow jersey following his stage victory at Le Lioran the previous day. The Slovenian continues to lead long-time rival Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) by 3 minutes and 36 seconds, remaining on course for a fifth Tour de France title.
Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) remains third overall, another 30 seconds behind Vingegaard after his late attack on Tuesday.
There was also no movement behind the leading trio. Juan Ayuso (Lidl-Trek) stays fourth at 4:22, while French youngster Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM) continues in fifth, 13 seconds further back.

Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) occupies sixth place, followed by UAE Team Emirates teammate Isaac del Toro in seventh.
Lidl-Trek’s Mattias Skjelmose remains eighth overall, with Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious) ninth. Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5), who climbed into the top 10 despite crashing during Tuesday’s stage, completes the leading ten riders, sitting 11 minutes and 49 seconds behind Pogačar.
The Tour continues on Thursday with Stage 12, a flat 179.1-kilometre route from the Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours to Chalon-sur-Saône, where another sprint finish is expected.
