Mosta Cycling Club (Malta’s oldest and most successful cycling club, founded in 1953) was host to another edition of the Haż-Żebbug Bypass Road Race along Triq L-Imdina between the roundabouts intersecting with Triq H’Attard and Telgha tas-Saqqajja on Sunday 10th May. This event not only formed part of the Malta Cycling Federation’s inaugural National Club Series, but also served as the 2026 Youth National Road Race Championships for U12, U14 and U16 cyclists.
The event distances ranged between 8.5km for the U12 categories to 72.6km for the Elite Men category on the 4.27km circuit.
The event saw the participation of 10 teams as well as individuals from Malta, Gozo and Abroad.
The new initiate to include a Festival Zone to the event saw Jacob’s Pay It Forward Coffee Van accompanied by music adding to the atmosphere for both riders and spectators.
