At San Siro, AC Milan secured their spot in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia by defeating Roma 3-1. Tammy Abraham, who is on loan from Roma and plays for Milan, shone against his parent club. He scored two goals in the first half and was joined by Joao Felix, who made his Milan debut and sealed the victory with an impressive finish.
Abraham’s first goal came in the 16th minute when he headed in an excellent cross from Theo Hernandez. Just before halftime, he scored again as part of a beautiful team play, with Hernandez providing the assist once again.
In the second half, Roma’s substitute Artem Dovbyk managed to score a goal, but it was short-lived as Joao Felix, who came off the bench, restored Milan’s two-goal lead with a clever chip. Although Tijjani Reijnders accidentally scored an own goal, it was disallowed after a VAR review showed an offside in the buildup.
Milan successfully defended their lead and will now face either Inter or Lazio in the semi-finals.
