Dubois to defend IBF Heavyweight title against Parker in Riyadh

Daniel Dubois will defend his IBF heavyweight world title against Joseph Parker in Saudi Arabia on February 22.

Dubois’s first title defence was in September, when he knocked out British rival Anthony Joshua in just five rounds at Wembley Stadium.

The 27-year-old earned the interim title by beating Filip Hrgovic, and became the world champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated his IBF belt to fight Tyson Fury on December 21.

Parker, 32, from New Zealand, has won his last four fights, including victories over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang. He previously held the WBO title but lost to Joshua in 2018.

The Dubois vs Parker fight will be part of a huge event in Riyadh, with Artur Beterbiev facing Dmitry Bivol in a rematch to defend his undisputed light-heavyweight title. Beterbiev won their first fight by a controversial majority decision in October, so the rematch will see all four world titles on the line.

Also on the card, Joshua Buatsi will face Callum Smith in an all-British light-heavyweight clash, while Shakur Stevenson defends his WBC lightweight belt against Floyd Schofield.

Meanwhile, Zhang will fight unbeaten heavyweight contender Agit Kabayel for the WBC interim title, with Joshua expected to face the winner.
