The Malta Blackball Federation has started its team events as the National and Regional Knock-out are currently being played as some verdicts have already come out.
Meanwhile, the National Knock-Out quarter-finals were played where San Ġwann Nicks, Hamrun 147 A and Cospicua Rangers qualified for the semi-finals.
San Ġwann Nick’s beat Domus Kids Żejtun 21-18 while Hamrun 147 A beat their second team Hamrun 147 B 21-17. On the other hand, Cospicua Rangers dominated their encounter against Ħamrun 147 C to win 21-5.
Tomorrow Jojo’s Birżebbuġa play their second leg quarter-final against Selmun Bar Sports Club with the first leg finishing 12-8 for the Southerners.
In the Regional Knock-Out, four teams advanced to the semi-finals, two of which were very hard fought.
The most uncertain and exciting game was the one between Birkirkara Boċċi and Qormi Anici Boys with the latter winning 23-21.
Even San Ġwann Tiki Taka A had to fight to beat Qormi Pinto 21-19 while San Ġwann Tiki Taka B and Selmun Bar had a dominant performance and beat Juve Birkirkara (21-9) and Gżira Titans (21-8) respectively.
