The Malta Blackball Federation’s Champion of Malta competition saw 16 players secure their spots in the group stage after the qualifying round was held in recent days.
John Lombardo emerged victorious with a convincing 7-0 win over Lorna Micallef. Other noteworthy performances were seen from Liam Mifsud, Joseph Tabone and Antoine Schembri, who all defeated their opponents Xylon Aquilina, Duncan Pisani, and Alexia Cassano respectively with a score of 7-1. Roberta Cutajar’s match against Neil Fenech was particularly exciting, with Cutajar ultimately winning 7-5.
