The Malta Blackball Federation held the finals night for Tour 2 at the Juventus Club Vero Amore in Birkirkara as seven other players made it to the National Contingent for the upcoming World Championships 2024.
In the men’s final Mevrick Zammit won the match against Scott Muscat with the final score being 10-8. On the other hand, in the under-23 final, Liam Mifsud did not find it easy to beat Casdy Vella 9-7.
Clayton Castaldi continued with his positive moment after dominating his clash against Clint Azzopardi 10-2 in the Seniors 40+ final.
In Masters 50+, Brian Grech had a good 9-4 win against Chris Mills. Iro Vella beat Gaetano Camilleri 8-7 in the Grandmasters 60 + final in a game that turned out to be very balanced one.
In the Juniors final, Chaylon Castaldi defeated Steven Muscat 9-4 while Donna Bugeja emerged victorious over Alexia Cassano 8-3 in the women’s final.
Meanwhile in a few more days the third qualification tournament will start in order to determine more players who will be selected for the Maltese national blackball team.
