San Ġwann Tiki Taka A have been crowned champions of the Blackball Super Cup after edging out Qormi Anici Boys in a thrilling 13–11 victory.
The match was packed with excitement, with Qormi establishing a solid lead by the end of the first half. However, San Ġwann stayed within reach throughout. In the second half, they managed to level the score and then pulled ahead for the first time—never relinquishing their lead again. The winning shot was potted by Matthias Debono, sparking celebrations for the San Ġwann side.
The San Ġwann Tiki Taka A team featured Matthias Debono, Gabriel Vella, Troy Zammit, Jason Grech, Jason Micallef, Liam Mifsud, Keith Caruana, and Charles Dwight. Representing Qormi Anici Boys were Glenn Axiaq, Christopher Mills, Darren Micallef, Robert Bugeja, Brandon Bonnici, and Shaun Attard.
This marks San Ġwann’s second major success in just a few days, following their recent win in the Regional League last week.
Blackball action continues this Friday with the highly anticipated Federation Cup final, which will see Ħamrun 147 A face off against Cospicua Rangers once again.
