The Malta Blackball Federation (MBF) hosted another memorable and competitive finals night as the second leg of the Euro 2025 Tour reached its climax at the Juventus Club Vero Amore in Birkirkara. With five finals held across different categories, the event delivered intense matches and standout performances, as players vied not only for victory but also for a place in their respective National Teams for the upcoming Blackball Euro Championships in Ennis, Ireland this November.
In the Under 15 Final, it was a battle of nerves between Nick Muscat and Dielyn Edwards, with Muscat narrowly clinching a 9-8 win in a match that kept spectators on edge until the final frame.
The Under 23 category saw Chaylon Castaldi emerge victorious with a 9-6 win over Nordai Desira, displaying calm under pressure and tactical precision throughout the match.
In the Men’s Final, Miguel Amato overcame a strong challenge from Dejan Grech, securing a 10-7 win. Amato’s focus and consistency earned him the prestigious title and a much-deserved spot on the National Team.
The Seniors 40+ Final was arguably the most dramatic of the evening. After a back-and-forth contest, Stephen Mangion edged out Joseph Tabone in a tight 10-9 thriller, proving once again that experience and composure matter on the big stage.
Finally, in the Grand Masters 60+ category, Marcel Micallef triumphed over Manuel Saliba with an 8-5 win, rounding off the night with a controlled and strategic display.
All five winners have earned their place on the Malta National Team for Euro 2025, where they will represent the nation on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
