The Los Angeles Lakers registered their first triumph of the season only in the seventh game, by defeating Nikola Jokic’s team, the Denver Nuggets, with a score of 121:110.
The Lakers, until this round, were the worst team in the entire NBA league and the only team without a triumph.
It seemed that it would remain so after this round, as the Denver Nuggets led until the end of the third period, when the Lakers, with a 13:0 series, broke the visitors, turned it around and took the lead with a score of 93:85.
In the last quarter, Davis and James repelled the Nuggets’ attacks with their points and managed to lead the team to the first triumph of the season, with a score of 121:110.
Veteran LeBron James scored 26 points, along with 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Anthony Davis added 23 points and recorded a double-double with 15 rebounds, while Walker and Westbrook added 18 points each.
Nikola Jokic did not shine, but he again achieved a double-double performance with 23 points and 14 rebounds, along with 6 assists. He was followed by Jamal Murray with 21 points and Aaron Gordon with 18.
The Nuggets have 4 wins and 3 losses, and this is the first triumph for the Lakers after 5 consecutive losses.
