JOKIC AND MURRAY ON FIRE - Portland powerless in Ball Arena

The Denver Nuggets welcomed Portland in the Ball Arena and celebrated over them for the second time in December. The leaders were Jokic and Murray with double-double results, and the total score was 120:107.

The opening part was very efficient, and the Denver Nuggets led by 32:27 thanks to a cheerful Jokic who scored 10 points.

In the second quarter, Portland was reborn. Through Lillard and Grant, they achieved a complete turnaround and went to halftime with a 58:64 advantage.

After the break, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter were the directors of the big turnaround. Denver won the quarter with 35:16, Murray scored 12 points, and Porter 11, for the home team’s advantage of +13 points, it was 93:80.

The last quarter was “decorated” by optional basketball, in which there was no winner. Portland failed to recover from the debacle in the third period, and thus Mike Malone’s company routinely brought the game to an end and celebrated with 120:107.

Nikola Jokic was the best on his team, he recorded a double-double with 29 points and 11 assists, along with 8 rebounds. Jamal Murray played one of the best games of the season, with 25 points and 12 assists, along with eight rebounds. Michael Porter was excellent as well, scoring 11 of his total 18 points in the third, turning point.

On the other side, Lillard was dominant with 34 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Jeremy Grant was also good with 20 points and seven rebounds. Anfernee Simons added 14 points, as did Hart, who had a double-double performance with 11 rebounds.

Denver is now first in the West with a score of 20-11, and Portland is ninth with 17-16. In the next round, Jokic and the team will welcome the Phoenix Suns in the derby of the round, while the Blazers will try to end their three-game losing streak against Charlotte in their Moda Center.
