Greek national team player Konstantinos Mitoglu will miss the Mundobasket due to injury, which is a big blow for the team led by Dimitris Itoudis.
The 27-year-old center suffered a fracture of the little finger on his left hand and will therefore miss the international tournament, the Basketball Federation of Greece confirmed.
Itudis was left with only 11 players, because the deadline for submitting the final list was on August 24 at 17:00, and Mitoglu got injured after that and no substitute could be called in his place.
Greece will be represented at the World Cup by Tomas Vokap, Dimitrios Moraitis, Lefteris Bohoridis, Michalis Luntsis, Gianulis Larentsakis, Kostas Papanikolaou, Nikos Rogkavopoulos, Yannis Papapetrou, Thanasis Adetokunbo, Giorgos Papagiannis and Manos Hadjidakis.
