MIAMI DELETED -12: Boston shocked once again in TD Garden

The Miami Heat team took a 2:0 lead in the final series of the East, defeating the current vice-champions Boston Celtics both times away from home.

Erik Spoelstra’s team entered the match well and had the lead throughout the first quarter, but the Celtics announced a turnaround at the end of the first half with an 11:2 series. At the start of the second part, a new series of 13:2 followed for a maximum of +12, and at that moment Boston had 38:26.

Miami responded with a 19:2 series and achieved a complete turnaround, and at halftime, the guests led 50:54.

After the break, Miami completely gave up defensively, and Boston, with the support of a packed TD Garden, completely destroyed Erik Spoelstra’s company and led 83:75 before the last 12 minutes.

A new decline in the home team’s game followed in the second half of the last quarter. Miami made a new run, this time 9:0, and with 55 seconds before the end took the lead with 100:105. Tatum brought the Celtics back into the match with three free throws, but Gabe Vincent seemed to seal Boston’s fate with his shot 30 seconds before the end for 103:107.

The free throw shoot-out was entered, in which the guests were more successful again, so they made a second break for a 2:0 lead in the series, and now they will have the opportunity to finish the job on their floor. The final score was 105:111.

Jimmy Butler again played a masterful game with 27 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks. Caleb Martin scored 25 points, and Bam Adebayo was on the verge of a triple-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds, along with nine assists.

Jayson Tatum recorded a double-double in Boston’s loss with 34 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Brown added 16, Brogdon and Williams 13 each, and Derrick White was in double figures with 11 points.

The series now moves to Miami, where two duels will be played on May 22 and 24, in which the current vice-champions will have to play much better if they want to return the series to ‘TD Garden‘.
