Malta’s men’s and women’s national basketball teams will travel to Prishtina, Kosovo this weekend to compete in the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup Qualifiers under the guidance of coach Roderick Vella.
The men’s squad is composed of Nelson Kahler, Neil Cassar, Nathan Xuereb and Matthew Scerri.
The women’s squad includes Michela Zammit Cordina, Danika Galea, Amber Melgoza and Sophie Abela.
Both teams will play their group stage matches on Saturday 13 June, with qualification for the semi final stage on Sunday dependent on results.
The men’s team will begin their campaign against San Marino at 14:25, followed by matches against Azerbaijan at 16:15 and Albania at 17:45. The women’s team will face Cyprus at 16:40 and Azerbaijan at 18:35.
The fixtures form part of the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup qualification pathway, with teams aiming to progress through the group stage into the knockout rounds.
