Los Angeles Lakers and NBA star LeBron James openly invited Adam Silver to create an NBA franchise in Las Vegas in the near future.
“I would like to bring a team to Vegas sooner or later. That would be wonderful. I know Adam is in Abu Dhabi right now but I think he reads every player interview. So I want a team in Vegas Adam. Thank you,” said Lebron.
Silver is normally in the Emirates, where he is watching the preparatory match between Atlanta and Milwaukee.
It is not impossible that James himself is interested in running a franchise in Las Vegas.
He is currently a shareholder of the Liverpool Football Club, and as his career is surely coming to an end, it is hard to imagine him outside the NBA.
