Kevin Garnett told Lillard to go to Jokic

Former Minnesota and Boston basketball player, forty-six-year-old Kevin Garnett, the 2008 NBA champion, had a message for Portland great Damian Lillard.

Garnet claims that Lillard would have to change the environment in order for his game to reach its full potential. He believes that the smartest move would be for him to transfer to the Denver Nuggets, where he would be accompanied by the two-time winner of the MVP award, the Serbian national team player, Nikola Jokic.

“I would really like to see him play with Jokic. Their two-on-two game, from the top of the cap, would probably work perfectly. I’m sure that Nikola would make Lillard even better than he is right now, there is no player in the Blazers with whom Lillard could play at a high level, after McCollum’s departure to the Pelicans,’ said Kevin Garnett.

Although Garnett wants to see Damian in a better club, that will almost certainly not happen, considering that Lillard has stated on several occasions that he is happy in Portland and that he does not plan to change the club.
