The Denver Nuggets, led by Nikola Jokic, suffered their third loss in a row, this time on their floor against Brooklyn with a score of 120:122.
The team from Colorado played brilliantly in the first half and after 24 minutes of basketball in the “Bol Arena” they led by 69:61.
However, they experienced a complete collapse in the third quarter, after which the Brooklyn Nets had a double-digit advantage – it was 87:98.
At the beginning of the decisive quarter, the Nets reached the maximum +15 with a three-pointer by Heris and took the lead at 94:109. From that point on, Denver played much better. Jokic scored from all positions, but in the end he missed the shot to win and Brooklyn took all the spoils – the final score was 120:122.
Nikola Jokic could not play alone, he recorded a brutal game in which he reached the 102nd triple-double performance of his career, but his team registered its third consecutive defeat – the second in the season when the Serbian center reached the triple-double performance.
The popular ‘Joker’ had a performance of 35 points, 20 rebounds and 11 assists. Next to him, Michael Porter Jr. was in the best mood with 23 points, four assists and three rebounds, as well as Murray with 16 points.
On the other side, in Brooklyn’s victory, Mikal Bridges stood out with 25 points. Nic Claxton added 20 points, along with six rebounds and five assists. Finney-Smith scored 15, as well as Dinwiddie, who reached a double-double performance with 16 assists.
Brooklyn is fifth in the East with a record of 39-29, while Denver is still the leader of the Western Conference with 46 wins and 22 losses.
