ITOUDIS: We are not giving up, I have nothing to complain about the players

Fenerbahce basketball coach Dimitris Itoudis spoke to the media after the shocking defeat in the third game of the playoff series against Olympiakos.

After Guduric’s basket three seconds before the end, it seemed that Fenerbahce would win in front of the home fans, but with the sound of the siren, a cold shower followed for everyone in the hall in Istanbul – Sloukas hit a three-pointer to win Olympiakos.

“It’s obvious that they hit difficult shots that decided the decision. I can’t ask more from my players because they played very good defense during both baskets. The match lasts 40 minutes and there is no need to analyze the last possessions. We continued to play uncertain matches, and we managed to reach a double-digit advantage on several occasions, but we did not keep it.’ Itoudis was disappointed.

‘It is, as it is. Big thanks to the fans. My players, supported by their support, played great and it’s a big disappointment to lose in this way. We are not giving up, we will do our best to equalize the series in the fourth game,’ Dimitris finished.

The next match will be played on May 5 at 19:45.
