The coach of Alba from Berlin, Israel Gonzalez, spoke after his team’s new defeat against Virtus with the result of 87:76.
The Spaniard was honest after the third consecutive defeat in the Euroleague, and he pointed out several players who were key to the victory of Virtus.
“We started the game very badly, we were not focused. We didn’t follow the plan we established in the dressing room. Even so, we lacked energy. We allowed them open shots in the first quarter and they hit them.” Gonzalez began, then added:
“From that moment on, the match was decided. We played better in the second half, we couldn’t come back because of our start. They punished us on the low post through Shengelia and Dunston’s jumps. We have to improve some things and we have to play with concentration for 40 minutes.” Alba’s coach concluded.
