The Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks suffered defeats in last night’s NBA league matches.
Memphis inflicted the second consecutive defeat on Denver. The two teams also met on the night between Monday and Tuesday, and the outcome of last night’s duel was the same.
The Memphis Grizzlies celebrated the victory against Denver with the result 108: 106, on the wings of a great team game. As many as six basketball players had a double-digit scoring effect.
The most efficient in Memphis was Jeren Jackson Jr. with 22 points and eight rebounds. He was followed by Morant with 18 points, six rebounds and assists, Bane and Anderson added 16 points each, Williams 11, and Melton 10 points.
Nikola Jokić, as usual, was the best in the ranks of Denver. The current NBA MVP finished the match with 34 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists.
In addition to Jokić, two other players had a double-digit scoring effect. Will Barton added 26 points, while Michael Porter Jr. added 12 with 11 rebounds.
Atlanta recorded its fourth defeat this season, and Brooklyn was better in last night’s match. The Nets celebrated the victory with a score of 117: 108.
Kevin Durant set the nets on fire in the “Barclays Center”, scoring 32 points with as much as 65% success in shooting from the game. Durant shot 11 of 14 for two points, and two of six for three, for a total of 13 of the 20 shots scored.
Five other players, in addition to Durant, were in double digits. Harris added 18 points, all by three points, Harden scored 16 points and shared 11 assists, Mills added 14, and Brown and Aldridge scored 10 points each.
Deandre Hunter was the most noticed in the ranks of Atlanta with 26 points scored. Tre Young was on the verge of a triple-double with 21 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists. Kevin Herter added 16, and Collins and Capella 13 points each, and 12 or 16 rebounds. Bogdan Bogdanović failed to transfer good form from the previous match to this one. The Serbian national team player scored eight points with only three shots from the game of 10 attempts.
Bogdan hit a three-pointer from five attempts, and was accurate for two points from the same number of attempts.
The next match Atlanta plays at home against Utah, Denver welcomes Houston. The Hawks will have a very difficult task against the “Jazz” who are the leaders of the Western Conference, while the Nuggets have the opportunity to break a series of two consecutive defeats against the Houston.
