Facundo Campazzo didn’t have much reason to celebrate his debut for Red Star Meridianbet in the Euroleague.
After two and a half months of waiting, the Argentine finally played in the elite competition, but Red Star Meridianbet lost. Campazzo scored 16 points (3/11 three-pointers) with 7 assists in the 87:80 loss to Bayern.
“I’m happy to be back in the Euroleague, but it’s all for nothing because we didn’t win. This is a team sport, when we win we are all happy, we have to fix it” – said Campazzo for “Telegraf”.
Red Star had a nine-point advantage five minutes before the end, so Bayern reached +7 with a 14:0 series for a better mutual score.
“Tough defeat, we have to improve as a team when we have an advantage, we had +9 and we couldn’t find a good attack and we stopped playing defense. We have to stay positive, to see what we did well, we also did some things badly, but we have to think about the next final against Efes,” says the Argentine.
