Argentine playmaker Facundo Campazzo is still a free agent after leaving Denver, and his return to Real Madrid is being mentioned more and more often.
During an interview, the Argentinian once again touched on the subject of his return to Real.
“I want to stay in the NBA. I think I’ve shown that I can compete when I’m good. When they give me confidence and when I feel part of the rotation. In fact, in the playoffs in the first season, I was a starter in all but the last match. I played a lot during the regular season as well. This does not mean that I say ‘no’ to Real Madrid”.
“What I’m saying is that my attention and energy are focused on the NBA. That’s my first option, that’s the message. I feel like an NBA player and I want to stay at that level. Real is the biggest club in Europe and being part of that club helped me reach the NBA. However, the reality is that I want to focus on staying in the US,” Campazzo said.
Campazzo spent the past two seasons with Denver after leaving Real, with whom he won the Euroleague twice.
During the previous season, he averaged 5.1 points, 3.4 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1 steal per match in which he played 65.
