Ergin Ataman, the coach of Efes, spoke about the reasons why the Turkish team did not allow Vasilije Micic to join the national team.
Originally, it was agreed that Micic would be in Belgrade and help Serbia in the match against Turkey, led by Ataman from the bench.
“As a club, we were against Micic’s playing in the national team from the beginning. We wanted to have the whole squad available, especially now that we don’t have Larkin. The match against Barcelona on Thursday was very important. Just like Barcelona didn’t let Kalinic go, we didn’t want to let Micic go either. Nothing has been decided because of the national teams. We, as a club, Anadolu Efes, decided that way,” underlined the Turkish expert.
The match between Serbia and Turkey will be played on Monday, November 14 at 8:00 p.m. in the “Aleksandar Nikolic” hall.
