Over a thousand people register for Lifestar Malta Marathon

Already, more than a thousand athletes have registered for the LifeStar Malta Marathon scheduled for 23 February 2025. With more than 4 months to the start of the 2025 LifeStar Malta Marathon, the interest for the 40th Malta Marathon which will be held on the 23rd February is extremely high.

In fact, 800 foreign athletes representing more than 30 countries from around the world have already secured a bib number for the LifeStar Malta Marathon. “We have double the number of registered foreign participants compared to the same period last year,” said Race Director Joe Micallef. “The prestige gained over the years and the intense promotional activity in running events abroad are leading to record numbers”.

After its presence at the Warsaw 10 K Expo, the LifeStar Malta Marathon was also present at the Budapest Marathon, which registered 60,000 participants in its many achievements. “We are convinced that in 2025 the record number of participants in the LifeStar Malta Marathon will be clearly surpassed,” said Events Manager Nando Sorbello. “The interest in the race is enormous, confirming the value and international prestige of the Malta Marathon. There are many athletes in Warsaw and Budapest who have asked for information and collected information material about our event”.

Both the Malta Marathon and Half Marathon are held in accordance to the World Athletics Technical and Competition regulations. All times are recognised and accepted by prestigious marathons, such as Boston and Berlin.

The Inspire Foundation is the Official Charity of The 2025 LifeStar Malta Marathon – Inspire works with children and adults with various disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Autism, to help them achieve the highest levels of independence.
