Athletics Malta has announced that its President, Mr Aldrin Cassar, has stepped down from his role with effect from 30 June 2025.
Following the Association’s rules, an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will take place on 21 August 2025 to elect a new President. The elected individual will serve until the end of the current Council’s term in 2026.
Until the election is held, Darren Micallef, who currently serves as Treasurer, will act as Interim President.
Athletics Malta thanks Mr Cassar for his contribution and remains committed to a smooth and transparent transition.
