FIFA will unveil the fully updated match schedule for the FIFA World Cup 2026 during a live global broadcast from Washington DC on Saturday, 6 December at 12:00 EST (18:00 CET). The announcement comes one day after the highly anticipated Final Draw, which will confirm the twelve groups of four for the expanded tournament.
The reveal will be led by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who will be joined on stage by several FIFA Legends. Representatives from all forty-two nations already qualified, as well as those still in contention, will also be present in the audience. The event is expected to be one of the most significant milestones on the road to the 2026 edition, which will be hosted across three countries and sixteen cities.
Throughout the broadcast, experts and former players will provide analysis of the group match-ups, key storylines, and the context behind the venues selected to host the one hundred and four fixtures scheduled for next summer. The programme will also confirm kick-off times and the exact venue allocation for every match.
Fans around the world will be able to follow the event in real time through FIFA.com, FIFA’s YouTube channel and other official platforms. A global broadcast feed will also be made available to rights holders internationally.
FIFA explained that the match allocation process following the draw is designed to ensure the best possible conditions for teams and spectators while allowing supporters across different time zones to watch their national teams live. The final confirmed version of the match schedule will be published in March, after the remaining FIFA and European play-off matches determine the last six qualifiers.
Excitement continues to grow across the host cities in the United States, Mexico and Canada, with nearly two million tickets already sold. The release of the schedule marks another important step towards what FIFA describes as a game-changing World Cup.
