The update comes after the midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s European Championship match against Finland, an incident which shocked the football world and led to the game being suspended.

Boesen said he had spoken with Eriksen and revealed the player was in positive spirits with his family by his side.
“He is doing well. He is with his family and in good spirits,” Boesen said. “The expectation is that he will be discharged soon and can return home.”
Messages of support have continued to pour in from across the football community, with players, clubs and supporters uniting in support of the Danish playmaker.

Denmark captain Simon Kjær and medical staff were widely praised for their quick response on the pitch, while fans inside the stadium applauded as Eriksen was carried away for further treatment.
