Sir David Beckham and his wife, Victoria Beckham, have swapped the excitement of the FIFA World Cup for a relaxing summer escape in Ibiza, just days after attending the tournament’s final in New Jersey.
The couple were spotted unwinding aboard a luxury yacht off the Spanish island, enjoying some well-earned downtime after spending several weeks in the United States following the World Cup.
David, 51, was seen making the most of the Mediterranean sunshine, taking a swim before rinsing off on deck and relaxing with a book. The former England captain, who has attended numerous World Cup matches in his dual role as a football legend and owner of Inter Miami CF, appeared in high spirits as he enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

Victoria, 52, also embraced the slower pace, relaxing on deck with a book while shielding herself from the sun beneath a baseball cap. Sharing her thoughts on social media after the tournament concluded, the former Spice Girls star said she had “loved” the football experience and the opportunity to spend time travelling with her husband.
Throughout the World Cup, the Beckhams were frequently accompanied by three of their children and their partners as they supported England during the tournament.
Despite the family’s enthusiasm, Victoria unexpectedly became a talking point on social media after television cameras captured her calm reaction during England’s victory over Norway. While supporters around her celebrated enthusiastically, she remained seated, prompting a wave of humorous reactions online.
American comedian Jenny Johnson jokingly highlighted Victoria’s composed expression in a series of social media posts, poking fun at her understated celebrations.
David was quick to come to his wife’s defence, responding with humour by saying that she was “celebrating inside,” before adding that her reactions were simply “a little slower” than his.
The Ibiza holiday also drew attention to David’s refreshed hairstyle, with the football icon appearing to sport a shorter cut than the one seen during the World Cup.
The new look comes a year after Beckham famously shaved off his hair by accident while using clippers at home. Victoria shared the amusing moment with fans, laughing as she described the result as “terrible,” while David insisted the mishap was “not funny.”
After weeks of football, travel and media commitments, the couple appear to be making the most of a peaceful summer break before returning to their busy schedules.
