Graham Bencini has extended his best wishes to Team Malta ahead of their participation in the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, praising the dedication and commitment of the Maltese athletes representing the country on the international stage.
Bencini highlighted that competing for Malta is a great honour and recognised the hard work, discipline and sacrifices made by athletes in reaching this level.
He also welcomed Malta’s historic debut in para sport at the Commonwealth Games, congratulating the para athlete representing the country and the Malta Paralympic Committee.
Bencini expressed his appreciation to the entire Maltese delegation, including athletes, coaches, officials and support staff, while thanking the Malta Olympic Committee for its leadership in preparing the team.
He wished the contingent every success and said he was confident that they would make Malta and Gozo proud through their performances in Glasgow.
